Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment Regulations
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2013 require that businesses involved in the supply of the electrical equipment take an active role in its collection, its recycling and to ensure its environmentally disposed of.
What do Weldfast Want You to do?
Failure to segregate electronic waste material in the workplace usually results in items being disposed of in a landfill site (buried under the ground), where toxins leach into the soil, contaminating it and putting communities at risk.
We would encourage you to Recycle your end-of-life electrical items! To aid you with this Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) will be taken back free of charge at Weldfast Trade-store on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis.
If you have ordered an electrical item from one of our distributors and would like to return your old like-for-like product within 28 days of purchase to arrange collection, please call 01782 566553 or email sales@weldfastuk.co.uk
All WEEE waste must be recycled and should not be placed in any of your Industrial waste wheelie bins. Make sure you always recycle all your old electrical goods.
To remind you to recycle, all new electrical products are marked with a crossed out wheeled bin symbol; Where you see this symbol on a product please do not put it in your industrial waste.
